Our Story, Our Mission

Drake wildlife studies was founded on a simple yet powerful idea: that by working together, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of wildlife and the ecosystems they inhabit.

Our story began in 2010, when our founder, WAYNE ROBERT DRAKE, was inspired by a life-changing experience in the wild. Since then, we’ve grown into a dedicated team of professionals passionate about advancing wildlife conservation through research, education, and community engagement.

Our mission is clear:to safeguard, responsibly oversee, and promote the development of wildlife resources worldwide, ensuring socio-economic benefits across all community segments. Nature takes thousands or even millions of years to create new species, but humans can cause a species to vanish in just a few decades. Drawing on more than four decades of global experience, I am dedicated to forging new paths in wildlife conservation.

Meet Our Founder

Born on November 22, 1954, in Petaluma, California, Wayne has dedicated his career to wildlife conservation, sustainable resource management, and the socio-economic benefits of preserving biodiversity. With a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from Arizona State University and a Master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences from Queen Mary University of London, Wayne has worked in a range of roles from Wildlife Law Enforcement Officer in Hong Kong to Conservation Biologist in the Cook Islands, and Wildlife Contractor in Dubai.

Charitable Work for Underprivileged Children

Beyond his conservation work, Wayne is deeply committed to supporting underprivileged children. He has actively participated in charitable initiatives that provide educational opportunities and improve the lives of children facing socio-economic hardships. His efforts aim not only to uplift these children but also to inspire a sense of environmental responsibility in future generations.

Environmental Education and Advocacy

He is dedicated to educating local communities and the public on the importance of wildlife conservation and sustainable living. His work raises awareness and fosters responsible behavior toward natural resources on both local and global levels.

Conservation Through Media and Photography

Wayne has used his skills as a photographer to advocate for wildlife conservation. His collaborations with organizations like National Geographic and his coverage of environmental challenges—such as habitat destruction along the Gulf Coast and the impacts of mosquito spraying in Florida—serve as powerful tools for raising awareness. His storytelling through photography helps highlight the urgent need to protect natural habitats.

Future Plans: Cancer Research Initiative

In addition to his environmental work, Wayne is committed to advancing human health. He plans to establish a Cancer Research Institute, reflecting his broader philanthropic vision of improving lives beyond conservation. His dedication to both nature and human well-being underscores his lifelong commitment to making a lasting impact.
